Visits are counted using Umami, which we run on our own server. It sets no cookies, does not track you between sites, and records no personal data — just the page, the referrer, and a coarse country. There is no advertising network involved and nothing is sold to anyone.
The newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address is stored in Listmonk, which we also run on our own server. Subscription is double opt-in: you receive one email asking you to confirm, and if you don't confirm, nothing further is ever sent.
The address goes to no third party, is used only to send these occasional notes, and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe. Ask and it will be deleted outright. Delivery is handled by SMTP2GO, which means your address passes through their servers in order to reach your inbox.
Corrections
If you email a correction, that email is kept so the fix can be credited and traced. Say the word and you'll be credited anonymously or not at all.
